BlackBerry Challenge: BlackBerry Z30 vs The iPhone 5. Full Review - YouTube

BlackBerry Z30 Review and Challenge http://www.daddoes.com/10248/blackberry-challenge-z30-vs-iphone5/ Today we have the results of a challenge. The folks at BlackBerry challenged us to swap out our iPhone 5 for a BlackBerry Z30 and record our experience for 7 days. We are always up for a good challenge and knew nothing about BlackBerry phones, so we gave it a shot. In truth, I was not expecting things to go well. I am a huge iPhone fan. I have had various iPhones for the last 5 years and really didn't think the BlackBerry Z30 had anything to offer me. Apparently I was wrong. As the video shows, there are plenty of cool features in BlackBerry OS 10 and the Z30. We loved the large and clear screen on the Z30. The battery on the Z30 runs laps around my iPhone. The whole BBM, message and notification center on BlackBerry really is a huge time saver. Sound quality is great, love the HDMI out and some cool features like NFC and Timeshift in photos. The real negative is simply the lack of apps. No Netflix. No Instagram. Lots of games that I had on my iPhone, not available in BlackBerry World. In the end, if you don't use a ton of apps, the BlackBerry Z30 is great and in many ways more enjoyable to use on a daily basis than the iPhone 5. Just having a battery that goes for days is a huge plus. If you do love apps and have lots of friends in the iOS world - you will have problems. No FaceTime, lots of missing apps. Head over to http://www.DadDoes.Com where we will have a full review of the BlackBerry Z30 and much more information on the BlackBerry Challenge. "Jerk" Cats Stealing Dog Beds - YouTube

Cats love cozying up in small spaces. Cats can also be furry little jerks. So, it's safe to assume that when a cat decides to sleep in the (much larger) bed of a dog sibling, it's done purely to screw with the dog. How to Export Your Video for YouTube: Full HD from Premiere Pro CS6 and CC - YouTube

We've had a lot of questions about how to export your HD video so that it looks as good as possible on YouTube. I know when I first started uploading videos to YouTube, I was often frustrated with the final quality--they looked good on my computer but ended up looking less sharp and colorful once I exported them. Or, they were huge files--multiple GB in size! So here I run through how I export/render my full HD video from Premiere Pro CS6 for upload to YouTube. Hopefully this will be useful for you even if you don't use Premiere by using similar settings in your editing application (NLE--non-linear editor). YouTube's help page on supported video formats and bitrates: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1722171&topic=2888648&ctx=topic All music by Curtis Judd. This video shot with the following: - Canon 60D with Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II - Magic Lantern v2.3 - Vision Color Picture Style (which came out a little too sharp for my tastes--I will probably decrease the in-camera sharpness setting next time...) - Rode NTG-2 Shotgun Microphone - Tascam DR-100 mk II - Premiere Pro CS6 - Smart Screen Capture

This is a run-through of a talk I originally gave at Standards Next a few weeks ago. It's not as smooth as that talk as I'm a few weeks out of practice and pretty tired right now; but hopefully it's useful to you (it's also 10min longer than the real talk was, sorry!).
